The Scoop on ThriftyGirl

ThriftyGirl is a thirty-something, God- following woman, wife, step-mom, sister, aunt and endurance athlete in Marietta, GA. Professionally, she works on initiatives to end sexual violence through education and programming on the Georgia Tech campus! Her background is in Student Affairs Leadership and is pursuing a Ph.D in Counseling and Student Personnel Services at UGA. She’s been awarded the Award of Excellence in May 2008 at Georgia Tech and the Apple Award in April 2008 from the Panhellenic Council. She’s also been featured in Women in Higher Education for her work with sorority women on campus.

In her downtime, she trains for various endurance events through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. Colleen feels blessed to be able to swim, bike and run! ThriftyGirl enjoys having a clean and organize house, watching a good movie or reading an inviting book! She thrives on finding frugal ways of making life more fun!
