Gas, finally.

September 24th 2008 in General

Hubs and I left a little early to beat the 5 o’clock crowd and drove around for almost two hours.  We finally found a station about 20 miles from the house in Acworth.  We were almost going to head home when I spotted the station and made it just as the crowd of cars lined the street.  We filled up SR’s car and our little 2-gallon gas can for my car.  It’ll be enough to get me to and from work tomorrow and Friday we can drive together.  Not sure what we’ll do next week once we burn through what we do have.  On the news last night they stated “relief is on the way” but some said it would be closer to President’s Day.  We are able to take public transportation home, but aren’t on a direct route, so it’d be trolley, rail, bus then car to home.  If it comes down to it, we’ll do it!  Keep praying we get back to normal!

Wow, it’s hard to believe this is still going on. Time for you all to move north. :)

Been there, done that ;) Since it’s been getting cooler here, I’ve been wondering when is too soon to wear a winter jacket :)

That’s crazy!!! Glad you found some though. I can’t imagine. And we rural folks have no public transportation! My daughter says, at least we have plenty of horses to saddle up and ride! (no buggy though) :O/

I was in some rural parts of TN over the weekend and there was very limited gas. If I had somewhere to “park” my horse at work, I’d probably consider it! It does seem like we’ve gone back in time!

With my gas light on I drove around last night looking for gas.  I drove around as much as I could before completely running out of gas, and finding myself coming home with my gas light still on.  Many of the metro Atlanta stations just can’t keep the supply of gas available.  Lines were miles [...]

Yep, it’s Friday once again.  This week seemed to drag a bit but I’m glad it’s finally the weekend.

Probably the most fantastic thing about this week is that we FINALLY found gas late Wednesday evening and I was able to fill up fully Thursday morning; makes me want a electric car!

Friday to Saturday I’ll be [...]
