fantastic Friday: Taco Mac

August 22nd 2008 in fantastic friday

At the start of the week, I was a little concerned that I might not have too many things to write about today. AR has had some issues at the start of the week at lunch (which have been resolved) and continual issues with a guy on her bus. Why do kids bully? Is it about privilege? Why does prejudice manifest itself so commonly in our society? All topics for an entirely different post.

We’re headed to Taco Mac for family Friday and have been excited about staying within budget. It’s SR’s new favorite place and has been anxiously awaiting to go back since we went on our date night!

SR finished up his new site.

While Fay hangs over Florida, she took a different course and spared my family once again. At the beginning of the week forecasters predicted it would be a direct hit. I’m thankful they were spared, but it was at the cost of another area being hit.

Hubby made breakfast this morning, which was delicious and we had some iced coffee left!

Sound off: What’s been going on for you? Anything fantastic you’d like to share?

I did check out SR’s new site – very nice. We’ve had a bullying incident with my brother’s family this past weekend and I’ve just been furious about it ever since. Turns out the bully is getting no consequences and my brother and his son, who has been bullied, are paying the price. Ugh. Have a good weekend.

Beautiful site! Scott must be one of ‘em computer whizzes. :-)

I think bullying is sometimes not taken as seriously as it should be. Kids can be very cruel sometimes.

Kewl, Kids can be cruel and it’s really not necessary. We won’t be putting up with it any longer and have made contact with the district supervisor for her bus. And yep, Scott IS one thoooose people :)

Jill, I’m afraid this situation might turn out similar to your brother’s. It’s always easier for the people in charge to deal with those who are filing the concern rather than dealing with the concern. Lets hope this zero tolerance policy really is zero tolerance.

Amy over at Mom Advice will post Notebook Experiments each week and this week she’s offering a prize to those who’ve actually experimented! Back on July 31, Amy found this site with a great iced coffee drink recipe so I decided to try it. I had bookmarked the recipe a while ago, since [...]

Wow, is it Friday already? Where has the week gone?

This has been quite the week, and is usually one of the busiest at work.  We typically host several cheesecake receptions, which leads me to my first fantastic thing of the week – cheesecake! yum!!  Last weekend, we were invited for a BBQ at my aunt [...]
