No longer a buzz

December 28th 2009 in A little bit of everything, Family

There is no longer a buzz around the house.  My parents arrived safely back to Florida and the midwest snow didn’t keep CrazyMike from being able to travel the distance back to Wisconsin.  We were fortunate and blessed to be able to entertain family this Christmas (we missed our Charlotte family).  Although we don’t have a ton of room, we manage to find places for everyone to lay their head at night and no one ever leaves hungry.

Dad came down with a stomach bug just a week before they were scheduled to leave for our house and much to my surprise mom put the peddle to the metal and made it here in good time; exactly 8 hours.  Dad was feeling just good enough to make the trip and definitely found his appetite while here.  CrazyMike left just before the big snow storm that crossed the midwest and we had no issues getting into the airport to pick him up (maybe it’s because he left his firecrackers are home this time).  We were able to spend 5 days together and although we weren’t romping around town we watched a lot of movie, relaxed and all gained a few pounds.

Christmas Eve, hubs made an incredible dinner, we all open a few gifts and watched A Christmas Story.  Christmas morning we leisurely got up, had some coffee and open gifts from Santa.

Mom, Mike and I went shopping a few different times.  And if you know me or my mom, we find it difficult o pass up a sale!

If you want to see pictures (I’m too tired to post any here) click over to my flickr page.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

As most of you know, hubs has been down for a few days with a retched cough which we were starting to think was bronchitis.  It started as a dry cough, but had progressed into something a little more productive.  We canceled our trip to Fl and were finally able to schedule an appointment to [...]
