fantastic Friday: date night and more!

Thanks to a little prodding from a friend I’ve decided to blog this week. Prodding as in, “ MISSING PERSON ALERT: Fabulous Red-head AKA: Thrifty Girl. Last seen October 2009. If you have any information regarding the where-a-bouts of this individual, please direct her to her blog, ASAP!” Left on my facebook wall earlier this week. Hubby keeps telling me to blog too, so considering I have two fans still reading I’ll grace you all with my bloggy presence! SO, pick yourself up off the floor and start reading!
LOVE Fridays. It’s probably my most favorite day of the week. Monday, least. Friday, most. And especially because tonight is DATE NIGHT! I’m really excited since we haven’t been out to dinner since probably the middle of July. With our tenants being a little unpredictable and furloughs we’d decided to scale back the budget each month, but have adjusted and really just need a little time together! We’re headed to one of my favorite places thanks to a $4 gift certificate we bought on restaurant.com. Having a sous chef a.k.a Neo who can cook a dinner from scratch (chicken alfredo w/ broccoli) including home-made pasta there is really no reason we can’t go out to dinner! I think we have a little shopping on the list and will definitely be dragging hubs to Jo-Ann Fabric
I’ve been picking up some hours at Nestled Newborn Baby Boutique in East Cobb. My friend, neighbor and fellow Bible-study goer owns the store and recently moved to the Avenues. This was a great move for her as there is definitely the clientele for this type of merchandise and foot track, whereas before not so much. However, she needed to fill 53 more hours each week. So instead of having her go crazy, I’ve been working part time, filling-in on the weekends. It’s a lot of fun and I’m learning lots about baby boutique merchandise and ultrasounds!
Kids are good. Only 10 more days of school. I’m not sure who is more thrilled about it, them or us! Probably us! It’s a full time job keeping up with teacher blogs, grades, emailing teachers, tests, quizzes and dreaded Physics projects!
Last night was my Bible Study Christmas party. I look forward to it every year and has become a Christmas Tradition for me. Here are some (not so great) pictures from the event.
AND my officecraftsewingguest room is finally done! Hubs, Neo, cousin Chris and my Uncle laid new drywall a couple weekends ago (while I went shopping) and had been working on it every night for 7 days until it was complete! It looks great! I’ll try to take some pictures of it soon, but it’s improved with not only a new, smooth ceiling but cable, blinds, fan w/ light and TV hung on the wall to give me more floor space!
Have a great weekend!
