The Big 3-0: Happy Birthday to Me!

The day finally came that I turned the Big 3-0.  I have always been a New Years baby, but I think it’s because back in 1979 my mom was having a little too much fun bringing in the New year!  I’ve been quite excited about this birthday.  I guess after you turn 21, the Big 3-0 is the next milestone that we all *look forward to.  I’m okay with turning thirty and really haven’t thought twice about being a thirty-something.  Finally I’ll be in the same age bracket as hubby!

We’re having a bunch of family over on Saturday to celebrate Riggle-style.  Hubby and Neo will be in the kitchen cooking up a storm, while MuzikChick will be decorating I’m sure.

A few things I added to my thirties “bucket list” are:

Go on my first cruise
Go to Alaska
Go to Hawaii (two girlfriends from college live there, which will make it more realistic)
Go to Japan (new addition because bil Bil-we is moving there)
Go to Australia (which is more feasible now that a past co-worker just moved there recently)

Many things overlap with my new year post, but I hope my thirties are even better than my twenties!  I know the Lord will continue to bless me and I look forward to what new opportunities and challenges this next phase of my life holds!
